Hurricane Sandy - Ocean County
Thank you for all your donations for Hurricane Sandy Victims. We raised over $1,000!!! Donations were sent to Restore the Shore http://www.wavesforwater.org/project/hurricane-sandy-relief-initiative and Mary's Relief Fund http://www.marysplacebythesea.org/pages/adoptafamily. Thank you so much for your support in the rebuilding of our community!
If you were directly affected by the storm and you see photos of your area on our website, please reach out tot us - we would be happy to help you. david@davidturton.com
The 1st set of photos were taken in Belmar and Spring Lake the eve of the storm, and the next day in Manasquan, Sea Girt, Belmar and Pt. Pleasant Beach. The 3rd day of photos were taken from my boat of the Manasquan Inlet, Bay Head, Mantoloking, and Mantoloking Shores. Since I had boat access, I was one of the first ones on the scene with a camera, capturing the devastation. We aided a few families to help them find what was left of their homes, also assisting them with their pets and boats. Unfortunately, one their homes was completely destroyed, yet they were able to salvage a few sentimental items. My heart goes out to all of the families who have lost their homes and sacred memories. (All proceeds from the Hurricane Sandy gallery will be donated to a local relief fund... support the rebuilding of our community!).
